KYRGYZSTAN VISAS

Who needs a Kyrgyzstan visa? Practically everyone from a Western country. However, valid visas from Russia, Kazakstan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Belarus allow for temporary stays in Kyrgyzstan of up to three days.

How to Obtain a Kyrgyzstan Visa:

(The following information is current as of 1995, and applicable to the Kyrgystan Embassy in Washington, D.C. Other Kyrgystan Embassies should be contacted directly for visa fees and for current information on visa issuance)

1. Kyrgystan application form must be typed or written in block letters (visa application form is available below by downloading as a GIF file).

2. Two identical passport size photos of the applicant affixed to the given spaces on the application form. Photos may be black-and-white or color.

3. Applicant's passport (Not a photocopy).

4. For a tourist visa, travel voucher issued by White Nights specifically for travel to Kyrgyzstan.

5. A business check, cashier's check, or money order (no personal checks or cash) made out to the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Single entry tourist visas: $20. Processing time for tourist visas: 4 days (rush processing - 2 days). Rush fee (2 days)=processing fee + $40.

6. Those applying by mail must include a self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage or completed express mail.

Tourists to Kyrgystan are required to register their passports upon arriving in the country, which for White Nights clients will be handled by a representative in Bishkek.
